Home Made Gulab Jamun

Lovely Home made Gulab Jamun! Made from fresh Khoya and Flour (maida)..It came out so soft and yummy just we get from Mithaiwala shop (sweet shop)




Ingredients
Khoya 250gm
Flour (Maida) 1/2 cup
Sugar 3 cups
water 3 cups
Baking powder 1tsp
Cardamon powder 1/2 tsp
Ghee ( For frying) 1/2 kg

Method
Sieve the flour and baking powder.

Knead the khoya gently to make a smooth paste, add the sieved flour and knead to a soft dough.

Divide the dough into 36 small balls and roll it smoothly so that there are no cracks.Keep covered under a wet cloth.

Boil the sugar with the water till the syrup is sticky to the touch. Remove from the stove, add cardamom and keep aside.

Heat ghee or the oil and fry the balls few at a time, over low heat, till cooked and  evenly browned. Remove ,drain and immerse into sugar syrup.

Repeat until all the gulab jamuns are fried.

Allow to soak in the syrup for 30 to 40 minutes.

Sprinkle with rose water rose water and serve. Do not store in Refrigerator.

To make crystal clear Syrup for gulab jammun
Tip :- While making Sugar Syrup  add 1 tsp corn flour  powder. (add corn flour at last stage )
