Hareesa is Middle Eastern Recipe usually cooked in Ramadan and in winters,its good for your Health and keep you warm and healthy..This recipe is basically from Qatar,Qatari and many like saudi Arabia
and iraqi people eat this. you can use Chicken or beef too. Cooking process is easy and taste is Delicious. ππ
Ingredients
Mutton 500 grams
Broken Wheat 250 grams
salt 1 teaspoon
black pepper powder 1 TSP
Black Cumin seeds ( Shahizeera) 1 Tsp
Cinnamon 2 sticks
Peppercorns 1Tsp
Onion 2 medium size
For garnishing
Ghee or Olive oil according to your taste
Fried onions 2 medium size
Method
1.Soak broken wheat wait for 1 hour.
2.In a pressure cooker add mutton with 2 medium size onion diced,
now add whole spices like
cinnamon sticks, peppercorns ,
black cumin seeds (shahizeera) and
salt 1 TSP along with 3 liter water.
3.Close the pressure cooker and let it cook for 30 minutes until meat gets soft n tender.
4.After 30 minutes open the pressure cooker and check the meat whether it's cooked or not.
5.Now separate the mutton from soup.let the soup cook on stove on lower flame, meanwhile separate the meat or cut in small pieces with the help of fork or knife.
Now add this meat again in soup with soak broken wheat with 1tsp black pepper powder.
Now closed the cooker lid and let it cook for 15 minutes or until its done.
After 15 minutes open the pressure cooker and blend all mixture with the help of hand blender or mixer blender. Check salt and add according to your taste.
Now cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
Lastly Garnish hareesa with with ghee or olive oil with some fried onion on it.
Serve Hot with khawa or Tea ❣️
