Oats Mutton Harees/Daleem
Tried Recipe of Oats Mutton Harees/Daleem of Ayesha Rizwan
Ingredients
Mutton or Chicken 1\2 kg
Oats 4 cups
Lemon 2
Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
Mint leaves 1/2 cup
Fried Onions 1 cup
Ginger-garlic paste 2 tbsp
4 cardamom
4 cloves
1/2 tsp shazeera
1Cinnamon stick
Roasted coconut powder 1/2 cup
Curd 1 cup
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Green chilli 5
Salt
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Water as required
Oil 4 tbsp
Method
In a pressure cooker add oil, mutton, curd garam masala powder, salt,red chilli powder, turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste,1 cup water and 4 green chillies. Cover it with lid and cook till 4 to 5 whistle or till mutton is cooked.
Remove the mutton and grind it less than a minute add mutton to the pressure cooker now add roasted coconut powder and 2 tbsp of fried onion. Add coriander and mint leaves to mutton and cook for 5 minutes.
Take a large deep vessel adds Oats and 6 cup of water in it with 3 tbsp of fried onions, cardamom, cloves,cinnamon, shazeera, salt and black pepper. Keep it for 10 to 15 minutes on low heat.
Now add mutton to oats mixture, lemon juice, salt, black pepper and garam masala as per taste and cook for 5 minutes on high flame and then on low flame till oil separates.
Garnish with coriander and mint leaves sprinkle some fried onion and lemon wedges...
Serve hot!
