Spicy Falafel

Spicy Falafel 

A healthy burger that filling too. These are great for anyone who craves a big bite but doesn't want the calories.





Ingredients
2 tsp each cumin seeds
2tsp coriander seeds
400g chickpeas (soaked overnight or for atleast 4-6 hours) drained well
1/2 tsp baking powder
2tbsp corn flour
2-4 green chilies (adjust to your taste)
2 big garlic clove, crushes
3 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
Few drops of lemons juice again adjust to your taste.
I small onion chopped finely
Salt to taste
Vegetable oil, for shallow frying

The original recipe calls for parsley but used coriander

Method
In a food processor, add the well drained chickpeas, salt green chilies, garlic, coriander and cumin seeds and coriander leaves, baking powder and corn flour.
(Here i added a few tsp of curd to combine them) And pulse to combine well. add the chopped onion add mix well.
Add oil on medium heat in a pan.
Now make a patties.
Your mixture will be loose , that's what make it crunchy it will be bit hard to keep them in shape. Now shallow fry them on medium heat to golden brown use a non stick pan.
Served with tahini or spiced or spiced yogurt ( few mint and coriander leaves with lil salt to taste goes heavenly with these)
